Are you a hands-on engineering enthusiast with a passion for driving cutting-edge projects from concept to reality? We're seeking a proactive NPI Engineer to join our thriving team in Stockport, where innovation meets excellence, and your skills are valued and rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Champion engineering NPI activities, collaborating closely with program managers and the NPI coordinator.
  • Take the lead on new product launches, engineering changes, and optimising tooling and supplier resources.
  • Oversee ODT & PPAP batch rollouts, ensuring seamless transitions and impeccable quality.
  • Forge strong partnerships with our Manufacturing Engineering team to streamline NPI processes.
  • Be the bridge between internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring adherence to customer requirements.
  • Utilise your expertise in DFM methodology to validate and enhance proposed transfer products.
  • Harness the power of 3D modelling and creative problem-solving to drive cost-efficient tooling solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the application of Six Sigma methodologies and root cause analysis.

  • Proven problem solver.
  • Hand- on approach to work.
  • Ability to provide unwavering support to internal teams.
  • Great communication, both written and verbal.
  • Drive to achieve growth and customer satisfaction.

Experience/Education Required

  • Ideally experience withing the automotive industry
  • A track record in NPI is essential.
  • A degree or equivalent in engineering.
  • Desired skills in tooling and fixtures design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
  • Greenbelt certification is preferred.
  • A great understanding & application of Health & Safety procedures.
