Are you an engineer looking to make a real impact in the world of production engineering? Join the team as a Production Engineer and become the vital link between Engineering and Operations departments. In this role, you'll apply your mechanical engineering expertise to ensure the seamless manufacture and repair of our diverse range of products. From guiding New Product Introduction (NPI) processes to solving complex manufacturing challenges, your skills will drive efficiency and innovation across the board.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support across purchasing, operations, and sales departments.
  • Manage and optimise our document management system for streamlined operations.
  • Take the lead in manufacturing and repair operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain critical control documents such as Method Sheets and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Craft clear and concise work instructions, overhaul manuals, and test specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to tackle obsolescence challenges head-on.
  • Drive the efficient operation of equipment, prioritising safety and performance.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering Discipline OR completed relevant apprenticeship with experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., Autodesk Inventor) and 2D CAD
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
  • Basic Mechanical Design Experience.

Desired Knowledge/Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Defence Industry or safety-critical equivalent.
