Naturally, recruitment agency support has always been and will continue to be necessary.  Recently, deteriorating skill availability coupled with what feels like a monumental increase in the number of recruiters out there, means Line Managers are spending more time than ever before handling and exploring the volumes of inbound calls and speculative emails to find suitable suppliers, and that is before we start the search.  

The use of external recruiters no longer feels time or cost effective and service levels appear to have become very “two dimensional”.  The challenge we face is that the recruitment industry is becoming increasingly complex with a wide variety of channels to explore and on face value alone, external recruiters all appear to offer what feels like the same approach.
